Frequently Asked Questions

What is the SMTP host name?

First and foremost we recommend using your local ISP's SMTP server. For example, if you are using Comcast, you would enter "smtp.comcast.net". Sending mail through your ISP is often faster, especially when sending larger files.

For those users on the go, you may find it beneficial to use our SMTP server. Simply enter mail.yourdomainname.com where yourdomainname.com equals your actual domain. For example if your domain is called "foobar.com" then your out going SMTP server is mail.foobar.com. In order to send mail through our servers, you will need to setup your mail client for password authentication. In other words you have to be authenticated before you can use our mail server(s) to send email.

Note: You must use your username and password in order to use our SMTP server. If you are unable to send mail through our system, double check these settings in your mail client. For POP3 email accounts, the username is your complete email address.
